
This was my previous animation of the boy's reaction to the elevator. In this animation, he clearly disagrees, but it could be improved. AS I decided to use the audio from the previz but replace the MP4 with renders, this scene did not capture a strong sense of disapproval more attitude.

I rechanged it to the static camera, allowing the acting to do most of the work. Here the boy visibly looks away but then puts his palms out like he is asking why. This displays that the character is not on the same page better than the previous one because more of what we don't see than what we do see.
While animating, I noticed at the end, he smiled a bit. This was done to close the jaw, but it looks like a smile and more easing into a decision, so to compliment this action, I blurred Purple Gauntlet (Boy's most lived superhero). Blurring it on purpose brings more focus to he boy as the audience at this point would already have seen an unblurred version of Boy's favourite superhero.
