Major in class texturing for boy character

I used a stencil to add a stylized texture to the hair.

I imported the substance painter textures into Maya with Hypershade.
I applied the hair texture to the eyebrow.

I render out the hair to see what it would look like, but I wanted to change it, in the end, to see how I could expand on it.
I then moved on to the shirt texture going for a wool-type surface.
I used the Hypershade to apply the shirt texture.

I rendered out the shirt, but the wool did not appear in the render.
I then made the trousers' texture, I wanted to make them red, but different textures as a shirt go across, and trousers go down.
The trousers read differently than the shirt, so I might bring the complexion trousers down.

I brought down the trousers to blend in with the shirt.

I made the boots with some crocodile skin texture to make them look different when testing textures in Substance Painter.
I rendered out the boots, and they really stood out against the red.
I then focused on the eye and wanted to make it shiny, but I wanted to make my own eye colouring as I wanted a stylized look.
I wanted to make slight tweaks to the skin, making it rougher.
I found that I could make the hair darker and more weathered after reminding myself of the recent substance class tutorial, so I applied that and really like the look of it.
I made the changes to the skin and really like the look of it like there is light passing through Sub Surface Scattering (SSS). This shows the skin is transparent in some areas, so it looks more like skin, not plastic.

I uses silver for the eye, changed the colour to white, and, as I already had the UVs correct, used a paint layer to manually paint his green eye.
The eye really finished off the character. He has strong appeal, his shirt wool is more clear, the ripples in his hair add to his rugged personality, and he just looks really cool.

Overall
I feel the character really coming along now and I'm quite excited to see him in motion.
