MULTI PASS RENDERING AND COMPOSITING WITH ROBBY BRANHAM tutorial series 09

Nuke works really well with lighting. In Nuke you can add multiple HDRI's as light sources to either brighten up the light reflection or replace the white beam with a reflective view like a mountain for example. Rotation of light is also asset of Nuke, in Maya you would rotate the light for the best angles, Nuke allows you to do that and also modify your lights soft or hard edges using RGB colour values to make sure tones appear ore vibrant. Like Photoshop Nuke has clipping masks, so if there is a design stamp you want to do without affecting other pieces in the scene you are able to.

Nuke also allows you to import your camera in Maya as an fbx, so when using Nuke and you need to rotate, the camera is locked in place so that you don't have to go back to Maya.
