MULTI PASS RENDERING AND COMPOSITING WITH ROBBY BRANHAM tutorial series 10
Due to no filtering, edges in the UV pass will appear jagged. ADNSC is the process of rendering a Pixable multiple times.
In Maya, as it is already a 3D software, it's best to break down renders into 3 parts. These parts are background, midground and foreground. In Maya in Legacy render, there is a setting to hide non-selected objects, but they will still react to the viewport models. When compositing, this means effects like blurring or post-editing can be done individually without having non-filtering edges as they are from interaction with other components in the scene.
