These drawings below describe big events that happen in my story. The first one is 'man' checking the mail. The second one is 'man' looking at tge flag of his current country. The third one is the man going insane and pulling out his hair. The forth one is the man planting tge flag of his own country.

As I ultimatley want to focus one one characer with the flag moving in the wind my type of character design is : character vs envoronment. In this case the character won't be fighting the environment, but creating his own to fight against the existing environment, maybe even stamping on the flag of his old country.

These are the sort of 3D styles I want to create, something stylized but it is still believable that skin is skin and hair is hair. References- Fortnite, Overwatch, Wish Dragon, The Witness (from Love, Death and Robots) and Into The Spider-Verse.

These are my first thumbnails for my ideas. Natalie suggested to use red, black and purple fir tge flag as my character should be big headed if he has his own country.

In my script I call the main charcter as 'man' but I migh change it after a suggestion of names: 1. Guy 2. Gary 3. Man 4. John 5. Bob 6. Billy 7. Bruce 8. Smith 9. Connor 10. Timmie 11. Will 12. Bert 13. Bertrum 14. Alfred 15. Bronson Overall I prefer the name 'Man' as I want to give this perception that the reason he want to create his own country is that he is isolated. I want people only call him Sir when face to face and call him 'that Man'. I do have the idea that he is elderly, but the thumbnail drawings that will be finished today will tell me more.

 These are some title ideas for my story that I'm thinking about:  1. The country that is 40 meters wide and a  36.6 meters height  2. Honey, that man is pretending his house is a country 3. Don't step there it's not just a lawn it's our neighbor's country 4. I own a country on my lawn, Ha! 5. Can't believe I'm so close to the world's smallest country 6. Can't deal with the law, make your own country so why don't you 7. Why does that country change it's flag ever 12 hours? 8. Never seen a country telling me what the leader had for breakfast before 9. My neighbor own's a country, that's what's new in town 10. Oh dear, my tennis ball is trapped on my neighbor's country 11. My neighbor grew their own country, why can't I my love? 12. It only takes 10 seconds to travel countries 13. The mysterious case of my neighbor who made his property a country 14. I wonder why there's two for sale signs next to that man's country,...

 For my 5 sketches for today I want a: angry, happy, frightened, tired and arrogant pose. This may be done in full body shots, mid body shots or just face expressions. I will design different clothes but at the same time this will help with the script.

 I will be going with story 1 and will do thumbnails with assistance of the tutorials from Gnomon by next Tuesday.

Gnomon is a highly expensive platform used by industry professionals to share tutorials on work tat have been used to make  big budget projects and it has a weekly sever, so it is not out dated videos with hard to find technology.  How to get to Gnomom 1.     MY UCA 2.  These are the predicted ages of my main characters in my stories. 1. Mad person hates law so makes own country on their property - (60 - 80) 2. Kidnapped females turn femme fatale - (18 - 23) 3. Safari gone wrong - (50 - 75) 4. Phone addict switches body with their uncared for house pet - (8 - 15) 5.  Man finds keys and gets in wacky adventures - ( 45- 83) These will give me an idea on the clothes they will wear and their general body postures for their turn arounds. I will develop these ideas based on feedback of my stories. Mood boards will be made after my script, as I want my pre work to inform my designs, not the other way around.

 This is a quick overview of the genres these stories would belong too: 1. A man with multiple over due mail that her never opens, some are rent and other information, refusing to move he declares his house as his own country- comedy, drama, satire 2. Evil men's daughters are captured but they want to fight off their situation - action, adventure, thrilling, horror 3. Man goes on quest to find and return stolen ring while on Safari  with wife - suspenseful, romance, slice of life, adventure 4. Selfish phone homer has a fish he barely feeds, when the fish gets the chance to switch bodies he exacts revenge- social comedy, body switch, reflective on society 5.  Homeless man finds key and he is dying to see what it can unlock getting into trouble and running in a lot of situations - comedy, adventure,

 Story 5 is a man travelling everywhere to find what a key he fond can unlock. A homeless man finds a key and hopes it is to better shelter so he goes around the city trying to open mail boxes, cars and houses to find a better life for himself. Often getting in confrontations. The story ends with the key unlocking a suggestion box and the man who has been starving dies but gets peace.

 Story 4 is a phone addict switches bodies with his house pet which he gives little care too. 'boy' loves social media, even when eating dinner he is still on his phone. He has a goldfish which he hardly feeds. One day a shooting star goes by and the Goldfish wishes to switch bodies with 'boy' for at least a day and it does. The Goldfish in their new body treats 'boy' the same way with a lack of care. 'boy' is eventually flushed down the toilet and picked up by a group fishing. One from the group has a daughter and she feeds and takes care of the fish. The story ends with them switching bodies back ('boy' and Goldfish) and appreciating life.

 Story 3 is Safari gone wrong. A couple of tourists, an old couple are travelling a safari for their retirement when suddenly it goes wrong and a monkey snatches a box from the man which contains an engagement ring he was about to give her. The tour guide suggests for them just to leave it, but the old man is too prideful and he has to go through Lions, Rhinos and other dangerous animals just to propose. The twist at the end is even worse ans the woman thinks the man is foolish for doing all of that once he gets the box and he had been gone for so long, the tour guide snatches the ring, gives it to the woman and accepts, so the man risked everything for nothing.

 Story 2 is mostly inspired from Shrek 3 when the princesses fight back, but I could still make a twist to it. There are young girls being kidnapped who are all daughters of imprisoned men, they are all loaded into a van and transported. One in particular has a mark on her face, it is actually an iron burn she got as a child. Once captured the one we will call "iron face" has a hairclip, she used that to escape and fight off the guards. The best comparison for this escape is Iron Monger in Iron Man 1. She sometimes uses the hairclip as a sword and as an arrow.

 From the jump, the idea I like most is (1) I have already provided some additional information based on my exploration.:  1. - man has flag and flag is sillouhete of him or/and a wanted poster at first. As time proceeds he uses the flag as social media, updating his daily life, I intend for the man to be an older gentleman. He uses a short ladder, similar to the size of a stool to constantly switch the flag. The range of information on the flag extends to what he had for lunch to what movie he is currently watching and when he is sleeping. The man is single but still pretends he has a family, recording himself with different voices that are clearly him, playing them inside only (off screen) to make excuses and scenarios for him. He makes his own food but brags how his wife made it. He uses a toolbox ring instead of a real ring as that is too expensive. The man gets offended when anyone points out this obvious fact of the voices being him. Story most likely ends with neighbors...

 For my minor project I have already gathered 5 ideas thanks to the plot and character session wth Adrienne yesterday. 1. Mad person hates law so makes own country on their property 2. Kidnapped females turn femme fatale 3. Safari gone wrong 4. Phone addict switches body with their uncared for house pet 5.  Man finds keys and gets in wacky adventures I will take these ideas further, once I find one I like the most.
